ISASA has an unequivocal commitment to transformation and diversity and has developed, together with independent diversity professionals, a Transformation and Diversity Toolkit to help schools that wish to embark on courageous conversations about these issues.
To ensure that this Toolkit is fully understood and to assist member schools on their transformation journey, a one-day workshop is given to school teams to equip them with the skills to drive transformation and diversity.
Since transformation and diversity are topics best addressed within relationships and not by individuals alone, the workshop is aimed at groups of people in leadership positions within each school community, including Heads and Deputies, the Chair of the Board or Governing Body, and other representatives from the Board, management team, teaching staff and Parent Association.
The intended outcome is that through discussions and exploration of the Toolkit, schools will leave with a plan for how best to make progress with transformation in their own community.
