A visitorship report by Billy Teeton, Woodridge College
This report is based on a visit to several schools in England, Scotland and Wales. It focuses on how ISASA Schools can benefit from Kurt Hahn’s philosophy of outdoor education, as well as an investigation of alternative early years education through the outdoors. In particular, it highlights how accessible adventure in the outdoors is to the population of the United Kingdom.
The report concludes with an examination of external outdoor adventure providers: their licensing and health and safety, particularly in senior schools.
