The Role of the Bursar

Operating as a key member of staff the Bursar role is primarily responsible for supporting the Head to deliver the financial and commercial aspects of the school’s business agenda.

The role promotes the highest standards of business ethics within the administrative function of the school, and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources, while supporting the school’s teaching and learning objectives.

Bursars can also be responsible for the management of non-teaching staff, as well as ensuring compliant contracts for parents and other internal and external stakeholders, administration of all staff, and the development, maintenance and successful delivery of facilities incorporating overall health & safety management.
