Swimming Coach

St Teresa’s School is seeking a qualified Senior Primary Swimming Coach. The position will commence in October 2026 and is remunerated on an hourly basis.
The following criteria are essential:
- Hold a Learn to Swim (LTS) certificate as well as a minimum of a Level 1 certificate.
- Have three or more years coaching experience.
- Hold a First Aid certificate and have a police clearance certificate.
- Be available for afternoon and weekend training.
- Ability to manage training sessions effectively, including the implementation of a dynamic and age-and level-appropriate programme.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to accompany students on school transport.
- Administration and officiating of teams and galas.
- Reporting results.
- Monitoring student attendance, participation and progress (including the assessment of students for awards).
- Positive contribution to promoting swimming and motivating the students.
- Ability to support and uphold the Catholic values and ethos of the school, as well as consistently applying the school sports policy.
- The ideal candidate must be organised, enthusiastic and suited to teaching in a girls’ Catholic school and be fully committed to our Mercy ethos.
