St Teresa’s School is a leading independent Catholic girls’ school in Rosebank. In our environment, we strive to encourage the young ladies in our care to learn, grow and thrive. St Teresa’s School is seeking a qualified Senior Primary Swimming Coach. The position will commence in October 2026 and is remunerated on an hourly basis.

The following criteria are essential:

  • Hold a Learn to Swim (LTS) certificate as well as a minimum of a Level 1 certificate.
  • Have three or more years coaching experience.
  • Hold a First Aid certificate and have a police clearance certificate.
  • Be available for afternoon and weekend training.
  • Ability to manage training sessions effectively, including the implementation of a dynamic and age-and level-appropriate programme.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to accompany students on school transport.
  • Administration and officiating of teams and galas.
  • Reporting results.
  • Monitoring student attendance, participation and progress (including the assessment of students for awards).
  • Positive contribution to promoting swimming and motivating the students.
  • Ability to support and uphold the Catholic values and ethos of the school, as well as consistently applying the school sports policy.
  • The ideal candidate must be organised, enthusiastic and suited to teaching in a girls’ Catholic school and be fully committed to our Mercy ethos.
