Curro Hillcrest is seeking a dedicated, full-time Sports Coordinator to join our dynamic High School team. This permanent position requires a passionate individual with strong organisational and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and an exemplary work ethic. The role reports to the Head of High School and collaborates closely with the MICs of sport.

Key performance areas

  • Organisation and management of all sports fixtures, tournaments, and festivals.
  • Sourcing, interviewing, and appointing external coaches; ensuring contracts are signed and standards upheld.
  • Tracking learner involvement to ensure high participation and engagement.
  • Coordinating parent meetings, interventions, and communication of fixtures/events.
  • Overseeing function setups in collaboration with the estates team.
  • Monitoring and upskilling coaches to align with school values, dress codes, and professional standards.
  • Ensuring practices are well managed, punctual, and professional.
  • Managing the Interhouse programme.
  • Creating and managing the sports budget and tour budgets.
  • Planning, organising, and attending all hosted festivals and tournaments.
  • Coordinating and managing team and class photos.

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Sports Management, Education, or related field).
  • SACE registration is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including timely communication.
  • Professional conduct regarding punctuality, behaviour, and work standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proven experience in sports coordination, event management, and budget administration.
