CBC Mount Edmund Preparatory School invites applications from a suitably qualified and experienced Early Childhood Development (ECD) professional to manage Little Mount Preschool, catering for children aged 3–6 years.
The successful candidate will lead daily operations, oversee staff and ensure a high-quality, safe and stimulating early childhood programme. The role includes managing the extended-day, all-inclusive offering and school holiday programme.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and Edmund Rice values, fostering a nurturing environment grounded in faith, care, respect, inclusion and the holistic development of every child.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Educational leadership: Ensure effective planning and delivery of an age-appropriate ECD programme that supports children’s holistic development.

Staff management: Lead, supervise and support staff, ensuring clear duty allocations, teamwork and professional accountability.

Daily operations: Ensure the smooth running of the extended-day programme, including meals, enrichment activities, sport development and the Little Chefs Programme.

Holiday programme: Plan, coordinate and oversee a structured, engaging programme during designated school holidays, excluding December/January.

Child safeguarding: Maintain a safe, hygienic and stimulating environment in compliance with safeguarding, health and safety requirements.

Parent engagement: Build positive relationships with families and ensure professional, timely communication.

Administration and resources: Maintain accurate records, manage resources responsibly and provide regular operational updates.

Enrolment and transition: Support enrolment growth and strengthen Little Mount’s role as a feeder into CBC Mount Edmund’s Grade R and Foundation Phase.
Minimum Requirements

Recognised ECD qualification.

Proven experience managing a preschool serving children aged 3–6 years.

Sound knowledge of child development, ECD curriculum and safeguarding.

Demonstrated leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Experience in staff supervision, parent engagement and programme management.

Alignment with the school’s Catholic ethos and Edmund Rice values.
