The proposed teaching allocation includes Social Sciences (Grades 5–7), Life Skills/Life Orientation (Grades 4–7) and EMS (Grade 7). The successful candidate will also contribute to the school’s sporting programme and assist with organising sporting events and supporting coaching staff. Experience coaching boys’ sport will be an advantage.
We are looking for a candidate with a relevant teaching qualification (bachelor’s degree, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is essential) and SACE qualification (non-negotiable), confidence in teaching Social Sciences, Life Skills/Life Orientation and EMS, strong classroom management skills, and a willingness to take an active role in school sport and learner development.
Fluency in English is essential. The ability to communicate confidently in Afrikaans will be an advantage.
Boarding house accommodation is available as part of the position. The successful candidate will undertake boarding duties in the boys’ boarding house during the week and on some weekends, according to an agreed duty roster. Details of the accommodation and duty expectations will be discussed during the appointment process.
