Khanyisa Education Centre, an English-medium independent school situated on the lower slopes of Mangombe Mountain on the outskirts of Giyani, Limpopo, invites applications for the following senior leadership position:
Principal / Head of School: Secondary School (Full-Time)
Commencement Date: 1 October 2026

The successful candidate will lead the Secondary School (Grades 7–12) and play a key strategic role in advancing the school’s vision of academic excellence, strong leadership and continuous improvement.
Key Performance Areas
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of the Secondary School, including:
- Providing visionary leadership aligned with the school’s mission, vision and values.
- Developing and implementing the strategic and annual operational plans for the Secondary School.
- Leading and managing all academic programmes, curriculum implementation, assessment practices and learner achievement.
- Driving continuous improvement in academic performance, Bachelor passes, distinctions and learner success.
- Leading and mentoring staff through performance management, professional development and instructional leadership.
- Managing school administration, timetables, examinations, moderation, reporting and curriculum planning.
- Maintaining a positive school culture through effective learner discipline, pastoral care and values-based leadership.
- Building positive relationships with learners, parents, staff and the wider school community.
- Managing budgets, resources and facilities allocated to the Secondary School.
- Ensuring compliance with ISASA requirements, Department of Basic Education regulations and school policies.
- Promoting excellence in sport, culture, leadership development and co-curricular activities.
- Serving as a member of the Senior Management Team and contributing to the strategic direction of the entire school.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- An appropriate BEd degree and/or PGCE with an Honours Degree in Education being advantageous.
- Current SACE registration.
- A minimum of five years’ senior management experience in a high school environment.
- Proven experience in academic leadership, curriculum management and school improvement.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial and administrative management ability.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and emotional intelligence.
- Sound knowledge of the South African education system and curriculum.
- A clear criminal record.
