Preparatory School: Music
We are seeking the services of an energetic and passionate individual for the position of Music Teacher in the Preparatory School’s Music Department.
The position is effective January 2027.
The successful candidate will:
- hold a music degree with PGCE/equivalent teaching qualification
- be suitably qualified and have experience in teaching piano from beginner to ABRSM Grade 6 level (minimum)
- have experience entering and preparing pupils for eisteddfods, examinations, competitions and concerts
- have the ability to accompany at the piano for eisteddfods and examinations
- contribute meaningfully to the academic, sporting and cultural life of the school
- be able to work effectively as a member of a team dedicated to the development and
care of all pupils - have strong classroom management, excellent communication and administrative skills
- be SACE registered
- be a South African citizen
Experience teaching a second instrument and band/choir conducting will be an advantage.
