The King’s College & Preparatory School Bryanston is looking to appoint a Preparatory School Ed Tech Coach & Digital Literacy Educator. The individual needs to be innovative, passionate about technology, and eager to equip teachers and learners for a digital world. The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher with a proven track record of being able to engage successfully with teachers and learners in developing technological fluency, digital citizenship, and creative computing skills.

Professional Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
The King’s College, Bryanston, is looking for candidates who:
- Align with the foundational values of the school’s Christian principles.
- Have an appropriate teaching qualification and are registered with SACE.
- Have experience in a similar position (ISASA school and IEB curriculum experience will be advantageous).
- Demonstrate experience working within a Google Workspace for Education ecosystem, as we are a Google school.
- Possess a good knowledge of managing and teaching utilizing school-owned Chromebooks.
- Have experience delivering impactful Digital Literacy and foundational tech lessons specifically in the Intermediate Phase.
- Demonstrate the ability to support and coach Intermediate Phase teachers to integrate technology and Chromebooks directly into the classroom to support Inquiry-Based Learning and progressive assessment strategies.
- Demonstrate the ability to support Foundation Phase teachers in utilizing Ed Tech tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to streamline lesson planning and routine administrative tasks.
- Show a passion for streamlining operational workflows to allow teachers greater focus on inspired, people-centred instruction and the freedom to inspire.
- Have a strong understanding of Digital Citizenship education (online safety, cyberbullying, and media literacy) to cultivate responsible use among learners and staff.
- Have a strong set of teaching skills.
- Have an aptitude for innovative teaching methodologies and collaborative co-teaching.
- Have strong communication skills – written, verbal, presentation, and training.
- Possess a collaborative, cooperative, and patient mind-set.
- Have a willingness to participate fully in the extracurricular programme and all school activities.
