JOB DESCRIPTION
Prep School: Sports Administrator Intern
Start Date: 01 January 2027
The Intern will provide administrative, logistical, and operational support to the Prep school. This role offers hands-on experience in sports management, fixture coordination, event planning, and student-athlete administration while contributing to the overall success of the Prep school’s sporting and co-curricular programmes.
SUCCESSFULL APPLICANT WILL
- Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail when managing fixtures, rosters, and schedules.
- Be a clear team player in the fullest sense, showing dynamic communication skills when interacting with staff, coaches, parents, and learners.
- Show a high degree of initiative, adaptability, and enthusiasm to gain hands-on experience in school sports administration.
- Be willing and able to work flexible co-curricular hours, including weekday afternoons and weekend sports fixtures.
- Passionately make use of opportunities to positively involve themselves in the College’s sporting programme and pursue continuous professional development.
THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND ABILITIES ARE ESSENTIAL
- Provide proof of current registration/studies towards a qualification in Sports Management, Sports Coaching, Human Movement Science, or a related field through a recognized tertiary institution.
- Possess strong administrative skills.
- Be proficient in using English as the language of school communication.
- Have strong IT skills (MS Office / Google Workspace) for sports scheduling and administrative management.
- Possess a clear Police Clearance Certificate.
