St Dunstan’s College is an independent co-educational school in Rynfield, Benoni, founded in 1918. From its humble beginnings as an Anglican Parish Preparatory School, St Dunstan’s has grown into a leading independent institution that includes the original Preparatory School, a Pre-School and a College.
The Pre-School offers structured, play-based teaching and learning within a loving and nurturing environment that encourages every child to explore, grow, develop their unique potential and thrive. Our programme focuses on the holistic development of each child, nurturing emotional, social, physical and intellectual growth in preparation for the transition to formal schooling in Grade 1.
St Dunstan’s Pre-School is seeking to appoint a dynamic Grade 0 teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to join an innovative team committed to creating inspiring days so that all may flourish.
PRE-SCHOOL – GRADE 0 TEACHER
Commencement Date: 1 January 2027
The successful candidate must:
- have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Bachelor’s Degree + Post Graduate Certificate in Education (in Early Childhood Development or Foundation Phase) and be SACE registered.
- have Pre-School and/or Grade 0 teaching experience.
- be a committed, organised, dynamic, innovative and motivated teacher.
- be computer literate and confident in the use of technology.
- have good English written and verbal skills.
- be able to work within a team-based environment and collaborate with other teachers, interns, assistant teachers and the Head of the Pre-School.
- fulfil supervision duties as assigned – including some morning, evening and weekend events.
- be willing to attend and support Staff Development training.
- show commitment and uphold the ethos, values and the vision of the St Dunstan’s College.
- appreciate working in a Christian, Anglican environment.
