We are inviting applications from dynamic, qualified educators to join our High School faculty in a full-time capacity.
Located in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, Constantia Waldorf School combines academic rigor with a holistic, phenomenon-based approach to the sciences. We are looking for an inspiring Physical Sciences teacher who can foster critical thinking, curiosity, and scientific inquiry through both standard curriculum frameworks and Waldorf pedagogy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the Physical Sciences curriculum for Grades 10 to 13 (Physics and Chemistry), preparing students thoroughly for national senior assessment standards.
- Deliver Senior Phase specialized 3-to-4-week Waldorf High School Science Main Lessons for Grades 8 and 9.
- Contribute actively to curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Direct hands-on laboratory work, safety protocols, experimental demonstrations, and practical assessment tasks.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- A relevant Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Physics and Chemistry
- A recognised Professional teaching qualification : PGCE, or a B Ed majoring in FET Physical Sciences.
- The ability to teach Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy would be distinct advantage
- Prior experience teaching within a Waldorf High School is highly desirable.
- Current SACE registration
- Valid security clearances
