St Dunstan’s College is an independent English-medium school in Rynfield, Benoni, founded in 1918. From its humble beginnings as an Anglican Parish Preparatory School, St Dunstan’s has grown into a leading independent institution that includes the original Preparatory School, a Pre-School and a College.
The College is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and suitably qualified swimming coach to develop and lead our college swimming team. The role involves inspiring our swimmers, encouraging participation and building on our proud tradition.
PART-TIME SWIMMING COACH
(Commencement – January 2027)
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver structured training sessions for swimmers of varying abilities.

Develop stroke technique, starts, turns, endurance and race strategy.

Prepare swimmers for school galas and inter-school competitions.

Attend scheduled training sessions and galas.
-
Monitor swimmers’ progress and provide constructive feedback.

Work closely with the teacher in charge and the Sports Department on team selection and gala entries

Promote teamwork, commitment and good sportsmanship while prioritising swimmer safety.
Requirements:

Relevant swimming coaching qualifications and experience, preferably with high school swimmers.

Strong technical knowledge and a passion for developing young swimmers.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Availability for scheduled training sessions and galas, including early mornings, afternoons and occasional weekends.

A valid first aid qualification and police clearance certificate, or willingness to obtain these.
