Music Teacher – Preschool to Grade 7
We are seeking an innovative, passionate Music teacher for our school. The responsibilities of the position will entail the following:
- you will be required to teach 12 half hour lessons per week
- you will co-ordinate and source private Music teachers for individual tuition
- you will offer private Music tuition on an instrument for which you will privately bill parents to supplement the base salary we provide
- you will assist the choirmaster with their weekly choir practice
- you may be required to organise and attend Musical tours
- you will organise and direct our school’s annual Culture Evening in September
- some additional responsibilities common to a teacher’s vocation
You must be a team player, with a high work ethic and initiative, able to inspire children with a love for Music, and hopefully the desire to play an instrument or develop their singing skills. You will need to be a hands-on teacher able to engage learners.
The position is ideal for someone seeking to develop management and leadership skills.

Basic requirements of the position
- A Music qualification recognised by SACE for the purpose of practising as a Music teacher.
- Ability to play the piano/keyboard and/or at least one other instrument
- Eligibility for full SACE registration
- Police clearance check
The National Sex Offenders Register Clearance and Child Protection Register Clearance will be managed by the school.
