MATHEMATICS TEACHER (GRADES 8 TO 12)
The Diocesan School for Girls (DSG), Makhanda (Grahamstown), invites applications for the position of Mathematics Teacher from experienced, reflective educators who are passionate about the teaching of Mathematics and are committed to intellectual rigour, creativity, and meaningful learning.
The successful candidate will be a thoughtful and engaging teacher who values the focused teaching of core skills and committed to delivering an innovative, rigorous, and engaging academic experience.
The successful candidate will:
- be committed to delivering high-quality Mathematics education with confidence and creativity.
- be a committed, dynamic, innovative, and experienced educator (minimum of five years’ experience) with a thorough understanding of the Mathematics curriculum.
- hold an appropriate university degree and professional teaching qualification.
- be registered with SACE.
- demonstrate strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- embrace and contribute to the unique teaching partnership between St Andrew’s College and The Diocesan
School for Girls, working collaboratively across the two schools to ensure coherence and excellence. - engage fully in school life, including extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
- support and uphold the Christian ethos of the school.
- share DSG’s commitment to transformation, diversity, equity, and belonging.
