MATHEMATICS TEACHER
Commencing 1 January 2027
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:
- have genuine talent and passion for teaching Mathematics to pupils up to Grade 12 level
- have taught Grade 12 for a minimum of 5 years as a specialist Maths teacher in a similar environment
- possess a strong knowledge of the IEB Core Maths curriculum
- have solid experience in teaching Further Studies Mathematics
- have the benefit of experience as an IEB Maths marker
- be willing to teach Maths Literacy if the need arises
- exude energy, enthusiasm and innovation in the classroom
- be a collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues and pupils
- demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a track record of strong relationships with stakeholders
- have an appropriate teaching qualification with a minimum of a specialisation in Maths, and a PGCE or B Ed or equivalent
- possess planning and organisational skills with superior detail orientation
- be competent in, and excited about, the use of digital pedagogy
- strong IT skills to enhance teaching, learning and administration
- be registered with SACE
