We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher who inspires curiosity and a passion for Mathematics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an excellent mathematical content knowledge, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to embrace challenges, explore mathematical ideas and strive for academic excellence. The role involves teaching students from Remove to UV (Grades 8–12) and may include teaching Mathematics within the Cambridge International Examination curriculum.

What you will do
- Prepare and teach well-structured, engaging and academically rigorous mathematics lessons that foster conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving.
- Teach a timetable equivalent to four mathematics classes aligned with the requirements of the IEB and/or Cambridge International curricula.
- Design, moderate, mark assessments and report on student progress in line with school policies, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of quality teaching resources and assessment materials.
- Contribute to the school’s reputation as a leading independent institution for mathematics education.
- Actively participate in the school’s co-curricular programme by running clubs, accompanying students on visits, supporting co-curricular events, and contributing to staff duties.
- Promote and safeguard student welfare while maintaining good order, discipline, and safety on school premises and during authorised school activities.
- Manage student behaviour and foster a positive learning environment by treating students with dignity, building relationships based on mutual respect, and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Minimum requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a similar field.
- SACE registration.
- At least 6 years of mathematics teaching experience up to Grade 12 level.
- A master’s degree or higher in a mathematical field or in mathematics education will be advantageous.
