Marketing Intern

We invite applications from suitably qualified and enthusiastic candidates for the position of Marketing Intern, commencing in September/October 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual at to gain practical experience across school marketing, communications, digital media, content creation, events and admissions.

Minimum Requirements and Skills Required:

  • A relevant degree, diploma or qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Media or a related field.
  • A strong interest in marketing, particularly social media, content creation, digital communications, design and/or SEO.
  • A good command of the English language, with strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Competence in using digital and social media platforms; experience with design tools would be advantageous.
  • Experience in school marketing or working within an educational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • A people-oriented approach, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and teachers to ensure that relevant content is captured and prepared in a timely manner.
  • A deadline-driven approach, with the ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, can-do attitude, with the flexibility and willingness to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport are essential.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team and to uphold and contribute to the ethos and values of St Martin’s School.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Assist with the creation of written, photographic and visual content for the school’s social media, website, newsletters and promotional materials.
  • Assist with managing and scheduling content across the school’s digital platforms, responding to comments and monitoring engagement.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s marketing calendar, ensuring that scheduled communications and promotional activities are prepared within agreed timelines.
  • Assist with the promotion and marketing of school events, including Open Days, productions, sporting events, visits to schools and other significant activities, including preparation in the lead-up to these events.
  • Provide support with admissions activities, including school tours, Open Days and communication with prospective families.
  • Maintain organised records of marketing activities, campaigns, photographs and other marketing assets.
  • Communicate regularly with the Head of Marketing regarding assigned tasks, progress and any challenges.
  • Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm in contributing to the wider life of the school.
