Green School SA is an international K-12 school, accredited by NEASC and based in Paarl. Our school’s purpose is to educate for sustainability, and sustainability is integrated in our infrastructure, operational processes, curriculum and impact activities.
This position is to teach music with marimbas, djembes and ukelele’s for Grade 1 – 12 learners.
Is this you?
- Green living must be part of who you are: a love for the environment and focus on social sustainability is part of the heart of our school.
- Love making music, and helping children learn how to make music. We use marimbas primarily, but also djembe drums and ukeleles.
- Have a curious mind and a working knowledge of different curricula, with experience in the development of learning programmes.
- Be flexible and able to adapt to ever-changing circumstances.
- Enjoy hands-on collaboration with other educators.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ teaching experience
- Relevant qualification
- SACE registration
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans
- Experience in teaching internationally or in a culturally and educationally diverse environment will be an advantage
