Locum Class Music Teacher
St Benedict’s is an Independent Catholic School, which seeks to provide a holistic education for boys through full participation in spiritual, academic, sporting, creative and cultural activities. The Board of Governors invites applications for the following post in the Preparatory School.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor of Music Degree or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Be passionate about teaching class music and be a team player
- Have experience in teaching marimba
- Be able to conduct and train choirs
- Have excellent piano playing and accompaniment skills
- Be willing to prepare and support pupils at concerts and performances
- To prepare music for chapel services and assemblies
- Be able to teach piano up to Grade 7 music level
- The ability to play the organ and /or teach another instrument will be an added advantage
- Must be prepared to work outside school hours, where necessary
- Must be SACE Registered
- Be willing to participate in the Catholic Ethos of the School
Applicants must be available to commence duty in September 2026.
