LEARNING SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR – INTERSEN PHASE

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and collaborative educator to join our team as Learning Support Co-ordinator: Intersen Phase, effective 1 January 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing and supporting Intersen Phase Learning Support Teachers and Facilitators.
- Providing in-class support and extension in English and Mathematics.
- Collaborating with Subject Heads to administer relevant scholastic assessments.
- Facilitating collaborative instructional planning and delivery with class and subject teachers to support diverse learning needs.
- Co-ordinating Assessment Accommodation rosters, including training for readers and scribes.
- Co-ordinating Individual Support Plans (ISPs) in collaboration with teachers.
- Managing referrals to and liaising with external professionals.
- Contributing to Boy Matters meetings with relevant staff.
- Maintaining effective record-keeping and handover processes.
- Managing new-boy assessments and reports as part of the Admissions process.
- Conducting classroom observations and providing appropriate support and feedback.
- Facilitating Round Table Meetings with relevant staff and parents.
- Facilitating the annual Learning Skills Programme for Grade 5.
- Supporting a collaborative, inclusive approach to teaching and learning across the Intersen Phase.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- An appropriate educational qualification. A postgraduate qualification in Learning Support, Remedial Education or a related field will be advantageous.
- A minimum of five years’ teaching experience.
- Proven experience in Learning Support, with a strong knowledge of barriers to learning and specific learning difficulties.
- A sound understanding of SBST and DBST processes and expectations.
- Knowledge and experience of assessment accommodation and concession applications, including assessment and support planning.
- The ability to conduct and interpret relevant reading and scholastic assessments.
- A proven record of excellent curriculum delivery, with in-depth knowledge of CAPS and varied assessment techniques.
- Current SACE registration (essential).
- Exceptional organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time position, commencing 1 January 2027.
