Sentinel Kalumbila is a purpose-built school with over 350 pupils. It was established in 2014 to attend to the educational needs of children whose parents work at the local copper mine and surrounding areas. Sentinel Kalumbila offers school-ing from Early Years to Year 7. As the school grows, Sentinel Kalumbila is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher. Educore Services is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic Primary teacher.
The appointee will report to the Head of School and directly contribute to all areas of Primary teaching at Sentinel Kalumbila School as well as add to the extra-curricular curriculum in the school.
Main Purpose of the Job
To provide the students with an excellent educational experience in a Primary class in accordance with the school’s Primary Years curriculum. To work in conjunction with the teachers and contribute to the life of the school. For further Details: Candidate Pack
Qualifications Required
- Degree in Primary Education
- Minimum 5 O’ levels including Mathematics and English
- TCZ registration and TCZ practicing Licence
- Familiar with the Cambridge curriculum
- Experience in offering co-curricular activities and sport
Key Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following key skills:
- Ability to differentiate and effectively manage and teach students of varied ability groups
- Competent ICT skills in Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good organisational and clear communication skills
- Sound knowledge of the Cambridge, Zambian Curriculum and Phonics System
- Enjoy dealing with children across a range of ages.
- Ability to teach several age groups, with varying abilities within a primary setting.
- Ability to innovate, engage and motivate students
- Self-driven and self-motivated individual who enjoys working with others in achieving the objectives of the larger organisation.
