International Exchange Coordinator

(Permanent part-time)

Founded in 1877, Durban Girls’ College is a leading independent Christian school, with a proud history, that offers an innovative and relevant education for girls from Grade 00 to Grade 12.

This, 20 hour per week, wonderful opportunity requires a flexible person with sound interpersonal and administrative skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work on several projects at the same time. Having travelled internationally in a personal capacity would be an advantage. Preference will be given to candidates with international living/learning and counselling experience.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and extending the exchange programme within DGC and internationally
  • Being responsible for and coordinating the selection of DGC exchange students
  • Preparing DGC students and families for an experience abroad and responding to the needs of DGC students, parents, and staff both at home and abroad
  • Overseeing incoming exchange students and managing their wellbeing. Organising activities and making various arrangements during their time at DGC
  • Constant communication with host schools
  • Must commit to transformation and our objective to create a safe and inclusive environment
  • Must be in possession of a current Criminal Clearance, Child Protection Register Clearance and Sexual Offenders Register Clearance certificate

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a commitment to embracing the core values and guiding principles of Durban Girls’ College.

The Board of Governors and Executive Head seek to appoint a suitable candidate from 1 November 2026 / 1 January 2027.
