Key performance areas
- Assist with the planning, preparation and implementation of age-appropriate learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Support the supervision, care and wellbeing of learners while promoting a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom organisation, learning resources, daily routines and general administrative duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure the effective running of the classroom and preschool.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, workshops and school activities as required, while demonstrating professionalism and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- Class Assistant Intern for the preschool for 3 to 5 year olds.
- Teaching Diploma NQF6.
- CAPS experience.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Must have sober habits.
- A clear criminal record.
