ICT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Parklands College Secondary Faculty is seeking an experienced ICT Support Technician to join our dynamic technology team. This position is suited to a technically proficient professional who thrives in a fast-paced educational environment and is ready to take ownership of complex technical challenges. You will work closely with the ICT Manager to provide expert technical support across our state-of-the-art digital infrastructure. You will be a trusted technical resource for staff and learners, handling escalated issues and contributing to strategic technology initiatives. Additional duties include supporting College events, functions and open days.
Core Competencies:
- Minimum 5 years ICT support experience (educational sector highly advantageous)
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent service delivery and client satisfaction track record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively
Formal Qualifications:
- Suitably qualified e.g. National Diploma, or BTech in IT or related field (or equivalent)
- Microsoft MCSA/MCSE certification
- CompTIA A+ and Network+
- Apple Certified Technician
Technical Expertise:
- Google Workspace administration experience
- JAMF Mobile Device Management
- Multi-platform software and hardware support: Apple MacOS, iOS, Windows client and Server
- Networking experience: WAN, LAN and VLAN configuration and management
- Printer and multifunction device support
- 3CX or PBX experience
- Experience with CCTV systems
Highly Desirable
- SQL database management
- Edadmin Management Information System experience
- ARUBA wireless networking solutions
- Cybersecurity
