HIGH SCHOOL: MATHEMATICS TEACHER
Founded in 1877, Durban Girls’ College is a leading independent Christian girls’ school with a proud history, which offers an innovative, forward looking and relevant education for girls from Grade 00 to Matric.
The suitably qualified and experienced candidate should be dynamic, caring and innovative and have a progressive approach to teaching. A willingness to participate in the co-curricular programme of the school is essential.
The successful candidate will be:
- In possession of an education qualification from a recognised institution
- With at least 5 years’ experience teaching Maths to Grade 8 – 12
- Willing to teach Mathematical Literacy
- A team player, inventive in their approach to teaching, in alignment with the innovative philosophy of the school
- Experienced and creative in the use of technology in education, and prepared to learn and grow in this area
- Participate, attend/organise workshops, conferences and field trips
- Willingness to be involved in activities, Olympiads and competitions outside the classroom
- IEB experience would be an advantage
- An effective and accurate administrator with good communication skills
- Be an active and effective member in the Maths Department
- SACE registered
- IEB experience would be advantage
- All staff are required to have a Sexual Clearance certificate, Criminal Clearance Certificate and Child Protection Register clearance certificate.
