High School Languages Teacher: English and Afrikaans

Green School SA is an international K-12 school, accredited by NEASC and based in Paarl. Our school’s purpose is to educate for sustainability, and sustainability is integrated in our infrastructure, operational processes, curriculum and impact activities.
Our school follows the American model where Primary School is from Grade 1 – 5, Middle School Grade 6 – 8, and High School Grade 9 – 12. This position will join the High School team, responsible to teach English Home Language and Afrikaans First Additional Language.

We are looking for a teacher who is excited and curious about how learning happens, who has explored different approaches to learning, has experience in child-centered learning such as project-based learning or problem-based learning, someone who has explored different assessment methodologies and does not only chase marks and grades, but gets deep fulfilment from true learning.
Requirements:
- At least 5, but ideally 10 years teaching experience
- B.Ed and/or PGCE, or other relevant degree
- SACE registration
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans
- Experience in teaching internationally or in a culturally and educationally diverse environment will be an advantage
- Experience with project-based learning will be an advantage
