High-Performance Hockey Coach

We are seeking a High-Performance Hockey Coach who will play a key role in enhancing the quality of coaching and player development across the Prep and Senior School hockey programmes. Working closely with the Hockey Specialist, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality coaching, support the development of players and coaches, and contribute to a positive, unified, and high-performance hockey environment aligned with the values and philosophy of St Charles College.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality coaching that supports the school’s player development pathway through team, small group, and individual coaching.
  • Coach allocated teams, plan and deliver training sessions, coach matches, and contribute to tournament preparation and performance reviews.
  • Support and mentor coaches, promoting consistency in coaching philosophy and best practice across the programme.
  • Assist with player performance analysis, talent identification, and the monitoring of player development.
  • Collaborate with the Strength & Conditioning department to enhance hockey-specific athletic development.
  • Support the delivery of hockey clinics, festivals, tournaments, camps, and other programme initiatives.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, modelling the school’s values and fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance hockey culture.
  • Work within the Christian values and mission of the College.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 to 5 years of proven hockey experience in the same or similar position.
  • Level 3 FIH coaching qualification.
  • High-Performance experience will be essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor young athletes.
  • Availability for fixtures, tours and tournaments.
