Head of Student Wellness
Trident College Solwezi is seeking a compassionate, skilled and proactive Head of Student Wellness to lead our student wellbeing provision.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about supporting young people emotion-ally, socially and academically. The successful candidate will have counselling and student wellbeing as their primary focus, while also playing a significant role in Learning Support provision across Trident Col-lege and the three Trident Prep campuses.
Trident College is a Cambridge International boarding and day school for pupils from Year 7 to Year 13. Set on a 113-hectare nature reserve in Solwezi, Zambia, the College forms part of Trident Schools, operated by Educore Services. The role is based at Trident College, with regular visits to the Prep campuses to support student wellbeing and Learning Support provision across the group.
The Role
The Head of Student Wellness will work closely with the Deputy Head: Pastoral Care, Learning Support team, tutors, house parents, teachers, parents and colleagues across the Trident Prep campuses to pro-vide well-coordinated support for pupils. For details, please see candidate pack.
The Person
We are looking for someone who is:

- Professionally discreet, reflective and trustworthy.
- Confident in working with adolescents.
- Skilled in counselling, pastoral care and student wellbeing.
- Able to understand and support learning, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Collaborative in working with staff, parents and external professionals.
- Willing to engage in the wider life of a boarding school.
- Excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing model of student support across Trident Schools in a Zambian context.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have a relevant qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Educational Psychology, Learning Support, Special Educational Needs, Education or a related field. Experience in adolescent counselling, safeguarding, student wellbeing, Learning Support or a boarding environment would be a strong advantage.
