Role description:

Academic leadership:

The Head of School serves as the academic leader of our school, responsible for the curriculum, curriculum development, and to provide inspiring and visionary leadership to our school community.

School administration:

Parent communications and the development of strong relationships with our parent community.

Personnel management, including recruitment, performance management and professional development.

Shared responsibility for admissions and marketing of the school to grow enrolment and ensure that new families are aligned with our school’s purpose and values.

Accreditation:

To maintain NEASC accreditation by ensuring the systems, structures and quality of teaching and learning meet required standards.

Sustainability advocate:

Proactively promote and drive our school’s impact as a leader in regenerative education.

 Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ in Head of School or Deputy Head positions, ideally with leadership experience in High Schools;
  • Proactive and hands-on approach to leadership;
  • Experience with overseeing curriculum development and convening pedagogical coherence across phases;
  • Relevant degree and teaching qualification. A masters degree will be an advantage;
  • SACE registered;
  • Experience with international curricula and school accreditation, preferably NEASC, will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Afrikaans and English.
