Hatfield Christian School is a Co-Educational Independent School from Grade 00-12, situated in the East of Pretoria. As we are a Christian discipleship school, we place a large emphasis on the spiritual input into children’s lives.
We invite applications for the position of HOD: English in the High School with effect from January 2027. Applicants should have the necessary qualifications and experience and be SACE registered. A suitable candidate should be prepared to engage fully with the co-curricular programme of the school. In addition to teaching in the High School, the successful applicant will be required to perform other duties.
The applicant should: –
- Be a mature Christian with a strong testimony.
- Understand, and fully support, the ethos and vision of the school.
- Be an experienced educator, having taught and marked at Matric level, preferably in the IEB system.
- Have excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Prior experience in a management position is preferable.
- Have well-developed people skills & experience in mentoring others.
- Have a track record of positive collaboration within a team.
- Be enthusiastic and able to promote innovation within the subject.
- Be equipped to monitor subject planning and assessment at all grade levels in the high school (Gr 7 – 12).
