Position Description
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Accounting Teacher to join our dynamic team and teach Accounting to our Middle and High School learners.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver effective, engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of learners.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Accounting lessons in line with the relevant curriculum.
- Design instructional materials, including quizzes, tests, assignments and other learning resources.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate learners’ academic progress, capabilities, aptitudes, interests and needs.
- Evaluate and grade assignments, tests and other assessments, providing constructive feedback to support learner development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records.
- Provide additional academic support to learners who may be struggling with Accounting.
- Keep up to date with current Accounting teaching methods, practices and educational developments.
- Create a positive, supportive and stimulating learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community.
Qualifications & Requirements
The successful candidate should:
- Have a relevant Accounting, Finance or related degree/qualification.
- Be registered with SACE.
- Have experience teaching Accounting. Knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum will be an advantage.
- Have a strong understanding of Accounting principles and practices.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and learner development.
- Be committed, professional, organised and enthusiastic.
- Be willing to undergo a criminal reference check upon appointment.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience preferred.
