We have a vacancy for:
Foundation Phase Music Teacher
COMMENCEMENT: 1 January 2027
The Ridge School is looking for someone who has specialised knowledge skills and experience in areas related to the performance, education and development of MUSIC.
Responsibilities:
- Class Music lessons from Grades 0-3.
- Ensure boys are well prepared for Junior Prep Hymn practices.
- Participate in School events and weekly assemblies involving Junior Prep Music.
- Assist the choirs during rehearsals and performances, including sectionals.
- Piano Teacher (from beginner to advanced).
- Music Theory tutor.
- Music Administration including but not limited to, weekly schedules, parent communication and general departmental organisation for Junior Prep Music.
- Assess the boys’ progress and maintain accurate and complete records of the boys’ progress and development.
- Support the Head of Music in promoting the ethos, philosophy and attributes of The Ridge School.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities.
Experience required:
- At least 5 years’ class teaching experience.
- Piano performance proficiency.
- Ability to work with boys from Grades 0 to 7.
- Professional communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications: Bachelor of Music and/or Music Teaching qualification.
- SACE Registered.
Reporting:
- Reports to the Head of Music.
