Curro seeks to appoint a Financial Manager (full-time) at Curro Head Office in Bellville to commence duties in October 2026

- Support the implementation of Curro\’s operational and financial strategy.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Drive operational finance excellence across allocated schools.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for schools.
- Review and analyse budget submissions and provide strategic recommendations.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct feasibility studies, financial modelling and business case evaluations.
- Analyse financial variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and review monthly management reports.
- Present financial performance and commentary to Executive Management.
- Provide meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.
- Conduct benchmarking and performance analysis across schools.
- Provide financial guidance and commercial support to school leadership teams.
- Ensure implementation of standard operating procedures and financial controls.
- Support schools with financial planning, reporting and operational queries.
- Oversee debtor performance and debt collection processes.
- Review municipal accounts and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Support sound accounts receivable and accounts payable management.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes.
- Conduct financial process reviews and compliance investigations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Lead, mentor and develop Finance team members.
- Manage recruitment, performance management and staff development.
- Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture within the finance team.
- Participate in capital planning, acquisitions, due diligence and procurement initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement projects that enhance financial performance.
- BCom Honours degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- CIMA or CA(SA) qualification/registration will be advantageous.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in financial management roles.
- At least two years’ experience in a Financial Manager role within an operational environment.
- Strong commercial and managerial accounting experience.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and financial systems proficiency.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
