Founded in 1896 and set in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, Michaelhouse is a leading Anglican Independent senior Boarding School for boys from Grade 8 to Grade 12.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION ARE:
- Have a degree with English as a major.
- Have a professional teaching qualification.
- Have suitable experience in teaching English Home Language from Grade 8 to 12.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience in a technology-rich learning environment.
- Be able to drive a curiosity and passion for learning the subject.
- Show creativity and innovation in the classroom while fostering meaningful working relationships with all boys.
- Be proficient in creating and moderating a variety of different types of assessments.
- Have knowledge of and experience with the Grade 12 IEB assessment guidelines.
- Have experience as an IEB Grade 12 marker.
- Have a current SACE registration and a recent clear police clearance check.
- Support the Christian ethos of the school.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Teaching a range of English classes.
- Full involvement in a variety of co-curricular and pastoral duties in the school.
