English Intern Teacher

We are excited to announce the expansion of our School’s Internship programme in our High School in 2027. Aspiring 3rd/4th year students, currently studying towards a degree in order to teach English, Home Language (FET Phase), or those enrolling for a PGCE, are encouraged to apply to join our internship programme. The intern programme is a fixed-term 1-year contract for which candidates reapply annually.
The successful applicant will:
- Work creatively as part of a team of enthusiastic teachers.
- Plan lessons and teach under the guidance of an allotted mentor teacher.
- Be involved in the Pastoral Care programme of the school.
- Be required to be involved in the co-curricular programme of the school.
The following qualities and abilities are essential:
- Show evidence that you support the Christian ethos and values of the College.
- Have good communication and collaboration skills.
- Have excellent computer skills and the ability to use various electronic media in the classroom.
