Deputy Head
Lakeside Education Academy is a Gr 1-12 school that believes in providing a personalised learning experience where each learner can thrive. With small class sizes, passionate educators, and a focus on emotional wellbeing, we aim to create a positive environment for our learners. Our curriculum delivery is varied and inclusive, helping learners develop 21st-century skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, communication, technology, and information literacy.
This is a full-time, on-site position for a qualified teacher, located in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, looking to make a difference in a leadership capacity in a smaller school.
Requirements
- B.Ed or undergrad and PGCE (SP or FET)
- Strong English communication skills
- The ability to build strong, working relationships with learners and colleagues.
- Experience in developing and delivering dynamic lesson plans.
- Knowledge of 21st-century skills and experience in using technology to support student learning
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Valid SACE certificate
- Valid police clearance
