Curro seeks to appoint Culture Coach (full-time) at Curro Wilgeheuwel in Roodepoort to commence duties in January 2027

Curro Wilgeheuwel has a position available for a Culture Coach.

Key performance areas

Culture Planning

• Plan and set up the annual and termly culture roster and extramural programme in conjunction with the Head of School.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding cultural activities.
• Arrange transportation for cultural events.
• Manage indemnity and permission slips for all events.
• Provide input and recommendations for culture awards.
• Drive excellence in all cultural activities presented by the school.

Culture Coaching

• Coach learners in your cultural discipline.
• Mentor learners in proper participation etiquette and rules.
• Oversee activities from a health and safety perspective.
• Select learners and assign them to teams.
• Participate in talent identification and skills development.

Events & Tours

• Attend relevant tours, camps, and events.
• Assign teams on the day of events and take registers of learners.
• Coordinate return slips to confirm attendance.
• Manage event schedules, announcements, and programme flow.
• Place catering orders for coaches, parents, and learners.

Qualifications, experience and skills

• B.Ed. degree or Music qualification.
• SACE registration.
• Ability to teach Music in the Primary School.
• Willingness to participate in and contribute to the extra‑mural Music Programme.
• Certified Coaching Certification as required by the Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport SETA.
