We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is an opportunity to lead one of South Africa’s most respected community outreach initiatives, driving sustainable change in education, early childhood development, and community upliftment.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to achieve Penreach’s mission of empowering communities through education and development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community organizations to foster collaboration and support for the objectives of the organisation.
- Ensure the effective development and execution of all outreach programs, achieving measurable impact.
- Ensuring responsible financial management and oversight while actively pursuing diverse fundraising opportunities to secure the necessary resources for organizational sustainability.
- Lead a diverse and enthusiastic team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Cultivating a strong leadership pipeline by mentoring and empowering team members, promoting a culture of collaboration, and facilitating opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Advocate for the program’s vision at a regional, national, and international level.
Key requirements:
- Relevant degree in management, education, social sciences, or a related field (postgraduate qualification preferred).
- Proven experience in senior leadership, preferably within the non-profit, education, or development sectors.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated track record in fundraising and resource mobilization.
- A passion for education and community upliftment.
