Established in 1879, St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls is an independent, all-girls Anglican School situated in Hillcrest, Pretoria. St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls in Pretoria is inviting applications for the following position available from January 2027:

Arts Department Administrator

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Arts Department and assist in ensuring the efficient operation of all Arts programmes and activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating student registrations, examinations, eisteddfods and arts programmes.
  • Managing departmental communications, contracts and records.
  • Assisting with the planning and administration of concerts, productions, festivals and excursions.
  • Coordinating venues, logistics, resources and departmental assets.
  • Liaising with parents, staff, service providers and external organisations.
  • Supporting the Director of Arts and contributing to the smooth running of departmental activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant administrative qualification will be advantageous.
  •  Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within an educational  environment.
  • Proven experience in administration and event coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Ed-Admin or similar school management systems will be advantageous.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Willingness to support, promote and work within the Anglican ethos of the school.
