AFRIKAANS FIRST ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE TEACHER: SENIOR SCHOOL

Roedean School (SA) is an independent school situated in Parktown, Johannesburg seeking to appoint an Afrikaans First Additional Language Teacher effective from January 2027. This appointment arises from the continued growth of the Afrikaans department.

• are passionate about teaching and have the vision to enhance the curriculum in the development of the Afrikaans First Additional Language;
• can work in a team environment of innovative teachers and who have a proven track record of strong administrative and inter-personal skills;
• display high levels of professionalism and commitment;
• are willing and able to contribute to the co-curricular programme of the school;
• possess appropriate computer skills and display a willingness to use technology in their teaching methodology;
• facilitate classes with diverse learning needs;
• have the requisite academic and professional qualifications and a SACE Registration Certificate;
• have experience in teaching Grade 8 to 12 Afrikaans First Additional Language (FAL);
• Experience in IEB will be an advantage;
• Understand and respect the Christian Ethos and values of the school.
