Afrikaans FAL Teacher (FET)
Applications are invited for the position of an Afrikaans FAL Teacher
This is a full time, permanent position commencing in Term 1, 2027 or from Term 4 if the candidate is available.
The successful candidate would meet the following requirements:
- A relevant FET Teaching Qualification.
- A minimum of two years’ experience, preferably at IEB Level.
- SACE registration is essential.
- Police and Sexual Offenders checks.
- Experience in a Sports Department.
The successful applicant would need to possess these qualities:
- To be responsible for all duties required of an Afrikaans FAL Teacher.
- The willingness and ability to teach other subjects as required in a small Independent School.
- Able to use initiative and insight in the planning and implementation of a dynamic curriculum and an exciting learning programme, in keeping with the vision and ethos of Carlyle College.
- Display excellent interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
- A passion for teaching Afrikaans.
- Show creativity, exploration and innovation in the classroom.
- Experience in sport co-ordination and coaching would be advantageous.
