ACCOUNTING TEACHER
HIGH SCHOOL
Christian Brothers’ College Boksburg is an Independent Boys’ School and is seeking an outstanding and visionary educator to join our team in the High School Accounting Department in the GET phase. This position does hold the potential of development into FET Accounting, and offers a unique opportunity to build upon the exceptional foundation of Accounting excellence that has been achieved at our school and to continue fostering innovation in the teaching and the learning of Accounting.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic person of integrity and vision with strong interpersonal skills, and have the following:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field;
- SACE registration;
- At least 3 years’ teaching experience;
- A sound knowledge of both the GET and FET curriculum;
- Competence in terms of computer literacy with Google Apps particularly Google Classroom;
- Sound organisational and administrative skills;
- The ability to understand, identify and contribute to the Catholic ethos and the values of the school;
- Experience with IEB curriculum will be advantageous.
Additional performance related goals and responsibilities include the following:
- Assist the Accounting department in achieving exceptional results;
- Assist in the development of an innovative and forward-thinking curriculum that aligns with global best practices and embraces new methodologies, technologies, and approaches to ensure students’ mastery and deep understanding of Accounting;
- Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the Accounting department;
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where students are motivated to become confident, independent thinkers and problem solvers;
- Foster a growth mindset and support students in embracing challenges and developing a deep appreciation for English;
- Cultivate strong partnerships with parents, students, and stakeholders to foster a collaborative approach to Accounting education through excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
- A willingness to participate in the school’s co-curricular programme.
