Keryn House is a strategic marketer with her roots in the education sector. She holds a HDE from UKZN, an MBA from the University of Wales, and is certified by the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA) as a Chartered Marketer (CMSA).
Keryn has consulted to blue chip companies across South Africa in marketing strategy, sales strategy and business strategy. Her experience includes retail, financial services, media, IT, FMCG, capital equipment and non-profit organisations. After holding executive roles in Johannesburg in government and business, she returned to her home province of KZN to be with her family and chose to move back into education. She took up part-time teaching and school marketing. In 2016, wrote the ISASA publication: A Guide to Effective School Marketing.
In 2018, Keryn started her own independent marketing consultancy, Houseway Consulting. Her strength is translating strategic marketing concepts and market research (such as segmentation, market positioning, target marketing, messaging) into practical tactics for implementation in a school setting and creating buy-in to the marketing effort.
Keryn works with the heads of independent schools and their marketing teams to help them to achieve growth and sustainability through strategic marketing. Key to her unique project management approach is a co-creation model (online and in-person) which aims to optimise scarce resources and build capacity in school marketing.
