Helen has been an independent practitioner in the human resources field since 1990. Prior to that she was the HR Manager for a large non-profit development organisation that managed education, housing and enterprise projects. Her clients are mainly in the non-profit development sector and include think tanks and policy organisations. She also works with numerous schools in the independent school sector.

While her two sons were at school, she participated actively in school governance functions and lead the St Peter’s Prep Schools Council for several years. She maintains an active interest in the governance issues in this sector.

She has a particular interest in fairness in labour issues in the workplace and considers it a critical part of the employment relationship. Her current work involves a mix of training, dispute resolution, evaluations, compensation, contracts and recruitment.

Helen is married to Alban and has two adult sons.
