Locum Opportunity-Junior School-Afrikaans Teacher

The school wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to the position of Junior School.
The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Registered with SACE.
- Certified Teaching Status with a minimum of 4 years’ class teaching experience.
- In possession of a current criminal clearance, child protection register clearance, and sexual offenders register clearance certificate.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have sound administrative and organisational skills.
- Have a significant level of computer literacy and Digi Tech integration skills.
- Develop appropriate social and emotional skills in children.
- Be a team player, with well-developed interpersonal skills, and work efficiently with management, staff, parents and children.
- Be interested in community building and developing the social and emotional wellbeing of girls in the educational space.
- Have a high level of energy; must be enthusiastic, passionate and a contributor to the team.
- Be open to continuous learning and feedback and take the initiative to do things.
- Be interested in contributing to a happy community of belonging and inclusion.
- Have the ability to engage fully with the ethos and spirit of Kingsmead.
- A suitable professional qualification and proven track record as a skilled Afrikaans educator.
- Appropriate educational experience in Language Development and Language Acquisition.
- Develop a learning environment encouraging students to be curious, creative, imaginative individuals and to develop a love for Afrikaans and language learning.
