JUNIOR SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION EDUCATOR & SPORTS COACH

The school wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to the position of Junior School Physical Education Educator and Sports Coach. The Sports Department strives to ensure that every student reaches their potential and develops life skills learned through sports, such as respect, teamwork, work ethic, and commitment, while also supporting each student’s long-term athletic growth.
The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma and ideally PGCE.
- A current SACE accreditation.
- A proven track record as an educator with a passion for teaching Junior School Physical Education, sport and the development of young athletes.
- A sound understanding of the physical, social and emotional development of young children.
- A dynamic, vibrant, and energetic person with a passion for the social and emotional well-being of girls.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
- Experience collaborating with all stakeholders, including parents, staff, students, therapists, and neighbouring schools, keen to be part of the Kingsmead community.
- Being able to specialise in a range of sporting codes, with specialisation in swimming and learn to-swim, would be advantageous.
- The ability to contribute to coaching and fixtures across Junior and Senior School.
- The ability to engage with the ethos and spirit of Kingsmead and understand the importance of belonging and inclusion in a school environment.
