JUNIOR PRIMARY TEACHING ASSISTANT
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Suitable ECD Qualification
- Adherence to the Christian Ethos of the School
- Criminal and Sexual Offender’s Clearance Certificate
- Confident working with Foundation Phase (Gr 0-3) children
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
- Proficient in English with good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to incorporate technology into the teaching and administrative practice
- Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
- Flexible and able to solve problems creatively
- Adhere to the school code of conduct
- Patient with young children
- Eager to learn, grow and gain teaching experience
DUTIES:
- Assisting the Class Teacher with teaching duties in a Foundation Phase Classroom.
- Assisting with classroom preparation, admin and filing.
- Providing academic and personal assistance to the children to help them attain their academic milestones.
- Aftercare supervision in the afternoons.
- Attending in-house training and development opportunities
