ECONOMICS Teacher
The Position – A vacancy on the permanent, full-time staff has arisen in respect of teaching IEB and A level Economics. The successful applicant is ideally expected to be able to take up the position January 2027. The position is an opportunity for a talented, creative, enthusiastic and qualified Economics teacher. The position would report to the Head of Department and the Director of Academics. The successful applicant should be able to contribute positively towards the cohesion of this well-functioning department.
REQUIREMENTS
- A major in Economics
- Experience in teaching Economics from Grade 8 – 12 with IEB Economics Curriculum
- Experience teaching A Level Economics would also be an advantage.
- Registration with SACE is required. Police Clearance, Sexual Offenders and Child Protection clearances.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fostering enthusiasm for Economics
- Maintaining a high standard of pupil achievement in Economics
- Maintaining the high profile of Economics within the College and
- Contributing positively to our co-curricular and pastoral care programmes.

- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Sensitivity to a diverse student and staff population.
